Revolutionizing surfing in the 1970's, the invention of the three fin "Thruster" surfboard is often credited to Australia's Simon Anderson. Since then, this third fin has been helping surfers to absolutely kill it. Since 1999, Thrusters Cocktail Lounge in Pacific Beach has helped welcome San Diegans home to an intimate and classic cocktail lounge by the sand in Pacific Beach. One block from the sand, Thruster's Lounge presents a mix of tufted booths, stone, recycled copper and glass fixtures, and dark wood columns and beams, merged with artistic and vintage skateboard and surf paraphernalia. Thrusters Lounge is a full entertainment venue, offering DJ's, bands, and dancing nightly. Thrusters Lounge also offers, all NFL, NCAA, College Football packages, and more, on 12 HD plasma screens. Thrusters offers 20 beers on draft in addition to Pacific Beach's largest selection of Craft Bottled Beer as well as our own specialty drinks. In collaboration with our neighboring kitchen at Mad Dog Cafe' we now also a new full menu ranging from our 6 signature Chicago Style sausages, grass-fed organic beef and chicken sliders and other traditional pub fare.
